A non-inverting logic buffer is a digital circuit element, also known as a buffer amplifier, that amplifies and delays an input signal and produces at the output the same logic level as the input signal, but does not change the level polarity. In contrast to inverted logic buffers, non-inverted logic buffers do not invert the input signal. The basic circuit of a non-inverting logic buffer consists of an amplifier and an input protection circuit. The input protection circuit is used to protect the input port to avoid damage to the input port due to external signal interference or excessive voltage. The amplifier is usually a common-emitter or common-collector amplifier that amplifies the input signal to the desired level and provides a stable output signal through the output port.
