Sensors in the tank determine when the tank is empty and full, and the temperature of the contents. This information is used to operate an automatic tank control system which controls the delivery of ingredients and of heat to the tank, and the emptying of the tank contents. Alternatively, the emptying function may be controlled manually. By the use of a plurality of solution preparation tanks and respective control systems, together with a sequencing control system, continuous output flow of mixed solution may be obtained.
