Report overview
The global Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy market was valued at 174.85 Million USD in 2021 and will grow with a CAGR of 5.32% from 2021 to 2027, based on Research newly published report.
The prime objective of this report is to provide the insights on the post COVID-19 impact which will help market players in this field evaluate their business approaches. Also, this report covers market segmentation by major market verdors, types, applications/end users and geography(North America, East Asia, Europe, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa, Oceania, South America).
Fluorescence-lifetime imaging microscopy or FLIM is an imaging technique for producing an image based on the differences in the exponential decay rate of the fluorescence from a fluorescent sample. It can be used as an imaging technique in confocal microscopy, two-photon excitation microscopy, and multiphoton tomography. The lifetime of the fluorophore signal, rather than its intensity, is used to create the image in FLIM. This has the advantage of minimizing the effect of photon scattering in thick layers of sample. In the report, the information about the fluorescence-lifetime imaging microscopy is the new microscopy with FLIM software; the microscopy which updates software system is not included in the report. Market competition is intense. Leica, Olympus, Zeiss and Becker & Hickl, etc, are the leaders of the industry, and they hold key technologies and patents, with high-end customers; have been formed in the monopoly position in the industry. They totally got 42% market shares, North America is the largest consumption place, with a consumption market share nearly 35%. Following North America, Europe is the second largest consumption place with the consumption market share of 33%. Europe region is the largest supplier of fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy, with a production market share nearly 40%. Japan is the second largest supplier of fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy, enjoying production market share nearly 25%. The classification of fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy includes time-domain type, frequency-domain type and others type; and the proportion of time-domain type is about 52%. Fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy is widely used in biology & medical, academic institutes, chemical industry and other field. The most proportion of fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy is biology & medical, and the consumption proportion is about 36%.
